Transfer (Local) Driver Class A

As a Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring timely deliveries, supporting warehouse operations, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. Responsibilities

• Transport products between warehouse locations using company trailers
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers as needed to support warehouse operations
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
• Perform daily yard checks of equipment, including monitoring fuel levels and temperatures
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety standards and legal regulations
• Report any vehicle or equipment damages promptly through the appropriate channels
• Immediately notify management of any animal welfare concerns
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience (4 years preferred)
• Must be at least 25 years old
• Experience with refrigerated (reefer) units preferred
• Ability to comply with all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including passing a DOT background check and drug screen
• Proficient with smartphone, laptop, and tablet technology
• Ability to operate a pallet jack, forklift, and handheld scan device
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic math and record-keeping skills
• Effective teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to meet all assigned work schedules and comply with attendance policies
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds (and up to 80 pounds with assistance), crouch, squat, climb, and work in cold environments
