RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Triages external customer (volunteer) requests within the shared Volunteer Services Outlook inbox.
  • Communicates professionally with internal and external customers of the Volunteer Services unit.
  • Facilitates user adoption of new cloud-based volunteer management system (VMS) by:
    • assisting with training and troubleshooting sessions,
    • participating in the development of communication plans and use cases,
    • creating process flow diagrams and step-by-step process guides.
  • Maintains up to date information in the VMS and performs administrative tasks related to volunteer management processes.
  • Supports the recruiting of subject-matter experts to committees by producing reports on current and potential volunteers.
  • Appropriately handles the storage, distribution, and destruction of sensitive data.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a student at Drexel University, enrolled in the following majors
    • Business
    • Information Systems
    • Management Information Systems
    • Healthcare Administration/Management
    • Human Resource Management
    • Legal Studies
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong writing skills
  • Independently motivated
  • Demonstrated skill in use of computer applications, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on SharePoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The following areas of experience are beneficial, but not required:

  • Experience with Microsoft Access and Microsoft Visio
  • Experience with functional testing, relational databases, or process flow diagrams
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical education terminology

Our Competency-based Assessment unit is focused on new methods as well as the optimization of assessment in the workplace and education.

As a result of leadership in ongoing research, innovative measurement practices and the exploration of forward-thinking assessment modalities and improvements, NBME advances assessment science. Our grant and funding opportunities further support this dedication to medical education and assessment science. We help develop the next generation of assessment professionals through our Summer Psychometric Internship Program . Through the Stemmler Fund , Strategic Educators Enhancement Fund and Latin America Grants Program , researchers and educators can continue to improve the assessment of health care professionals around the world.
