Job Title: Staff Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night (3x12-Hour) or Day (3x12-Hour) Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Pending License accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratios of 3-4 Description: The position is for a Staff Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown. The nurse will be responsible for managing care for patients in a critical state before transfer to a lower-level care unit. Expected patient ratios are 1:3-4. The role requires the nurse to float within scope to meet facility needs. Weekend work is required every third week. The nurse must possess skills in various technical procedures, including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, and interpretation of arterial blood gases. Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip titration is essential. The clinical team includes interdisciplinary support from various services such as respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy. This unit typically cares for adult and geriatric patients with diverse health issues. The ideal candidate will be proficient in maintaining IVs, managing dysrhythmias, and providing support for patients undergoing procedures like hemodialysis. Knowledge of isolation precautions, wound care, and substance withdrawal is also necessary. About Cynet Health
