**Job Title: Test Technician**
**Job Description**
The Test Technician conducts a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine the cause of unit failure.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.
+ Test functional performance of systems, subassemblies, and parts under specified environmental conditions such as temperature change, vibration, pressure, and humidity.
+ Calibrate test instruments according to specifications.
+ Connect unit to be tested to test equipment such as signal generator, frequency meter, DC power supply, or spectrum analyzer.
+ Read dials or digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics such as voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance, and capacitance.
+ Compare results with specifications and record test data or plot test results on graph.
+ Analyze test results on defective units to determine cause of failure.
+ Replace defective wiring and components or record defects on tag attached to unit and return unit to production department for repair.
+ Confer with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results and to resolve problems.
+ Verify dimensions of pins, shafts, and other mechanical parts.
+ Devise test equipment setup to evaluate performance and operation of non-standard or customer returned units.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in electrical, electronic, and mechanical testing.
+ Experience with electronic test equipment and troubleshooting.
+ Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2 years of technical training/experience.
+ Skilled at using Microsoft Suite.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with electronics or electrical testing, tools, mechanical assembly, soldering, circuit board, wiring, harness assembly, and crimping.
+ Ability to lift 50lbs.

**Work Environment**
Work in a clean environment at a steady pace. The dress code includes long pants such as jeans, khakis, or Dickies. The first shift runs from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with multiple openings for different roles. The second shift runs from 3 pm to 11:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, PA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
