• Specialty Backup Available: APP/Mid-levels available weekdays 8a – 4:30p
• Support Staff Available: PAs and NPs for initial consults and case prep

REQUIRED PROCEDURES:

• General Urologic Procedures (emergent as needed)
• Testicular Torsion (pediatric cases)
• Emergency surgical interventions not handled by APPs

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Licenses: Active Pennsylvania medical license
• Board: Board Certified in Urology
• DEA: Active DEA Certification
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in the specialty
• Other Qualifications: Ability to work 7-day call blocks (Monday to Monday)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for urology emergencies across 3 hospitals (within 10-mile radius).
• Respond to consults, emergent surgeries, and APP escalations.
• Perform weekend rounding for inpatients as needed.
• Collaborate with APPs and hospital staff to manage urology cases.
• Ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR.
