Posting Summary: King & Saint Cafe is looking for a motivated and talented early riser to prepare and bake fresh French and European inspired pastries part time at our cafe in Shippensburg, PA. Salary is negotiable based on experience - as well as preference of hours desired. Most baking shifts start at 4:30 a.m. and flexible end times at available as well.

At King & Saint Cafe, we’re not simply making coffee and baking pastries— we’re crafting memorable experiences.

We’re looking for an exceptional early morning baker to join our Bakery Department, where dedication and consistency will shine in a high-energy, high-volume environment. What You’ll Do:

· Key Holder: He/she will be the first one in the building – turning on all ovens and lights.

· Cleanliness - He/she will ensure that health and safety regulations are followed, and the kitchen is clean at the end of every workday.

· Master Efficient Production: He/she will oversee daily morning baking operations, ensuring that every baked item is prepared on time and to the highest standards, while managing the complexities that come with being in a start-up business.

· Creativity – After current pastry and baked good offerings are mastered, he/she will be given freedom to bring new items to our menu, with the approval of our Executive Chef.

· Entrepreneurial mindset: All other duties and tasks as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

1 to 3 years in baking or pastry, with a strong background in small-batch and cafe baking. Management experience is a big plus.

A talent for creating visually stunning desserts that match King Street Cafe’s sophisticated aesthetic. You have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for presentation.

- ServSafe certification is required, along with a deep commitment to food safety and quality control. If you are not ServSafe certified we can assist with costs - but you must be willing to get certified.
