Structural Fitter
Job Title: Structural Fitter
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine layout and assembly requirements.
- Accurately measure, cut, and fit structural steel components using welding, bolting, and other fastening techniques.
- Use a tape measure with precision down to 1/16th of an inch to ensure accurate layout and fabrication.
- Operate fabrication tools and machinery including saws, torches, grinders, and drill presses.
- Ensure all components meet dimensional and quality standards before final assembly.
- Collaborate with welders, machine operators, and quality control to maintain production accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize tablets and computers to read digital drawings and work instructions.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed assemblies.
- Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading steel components.
Essential Skills
- Blueprint reading
- Precision fitting
- Familiarity with structure fabrication
- Experience with flux core welding
- Knowledge of stainless steel and structural steel
Shift: 1st shift Monday-Friday
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Castle, DE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
