Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role offers a unique opportunity to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a specialized pharmacy operation, focusing on compliance, leadership, and quality assurance. Based in Kennett Square, PA, this 13-week contract-to-hire position requires a dedicated professional to oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, ensuring regulatory adherence and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses unless otherwise assigned.
• Act as the primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure accurate reporting of operational changes, ownership transitions, facility modifications, or PIC changes.
• Oversee sterile & non-sterile compounding operations, maintaining compliance with USP and other federal/state regulations.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
• Manage daily batch record creation, execution, review, and approval.
• Support production scheduling to ensure on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and efficient capacity planning.

Qualifications:

• PA Pharmacist License required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager.
• In-depth knowledge of USP standards and state/federal regulations related to 503A pharmacy operations.
• Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and regulatory interactions.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
• Flexible availability on Saturdays if needed.
