About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to manage applications on Universe servers. Linux Systems Administrators with Universe experience and Universe/Unidata programmers are also encouraged to apply. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and operates in a decentralized environment.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and monitor Eclipse servers, SQL replication, and system health.
Troubleshoot issues using SQL, TCL, and Report Writer; conduct root cause analysis.
Manage orphaned data/files and ensure interoperability with other systems.
Deploy code, implement approved changes, and standardize configurations.
Track support issues, provide updates, and respond to urgent requests, including nights/weekends.
Collaborate cross-functionally and document processes.
Qualifications:
Experience with Eclipse/Solar Eclipse and Eclipse Basic.
Experience administering Universe databases on Linux.
Preferred Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with software vendors and resolving system issues.
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
