Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Paid Lunch)
Pay Rate: $20.50/hour

Job Description:
The Client Intake Specialist will serve as an advocate for veterans and their families, ensuring they have access to essential programs and services—especially those experiencing homelessness. This position plays a vital role in connecting individuals to resources, developing community partnerships, and facilitating the intake process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, organized, and committed to making a difference through hands-on community engagement and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate outreach efforts to locate and assist homeless veterans and their families
Guide clients through the intake and application process, including eligibility screening and documentation
Build and maintain relationships with community partners and service providers
Manage accurate and up-to-date internal records, outreach trackers, and program reports
Conduct presentations and outreach events to raise awareness of available veteran support programs
Attend internal and external meetings relevant to outreach and veteran services
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, or nonprofit work
Familiarity with housing, homelessness, and veteran support resources
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to update and manage information in internal databases
Compassionate and driven to support others in need
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow direction
Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of accountability
