Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Paid Lunch)
Pay Rate: $20.50/hour

Job Description:

The Client Intake Specialist will serve as an advocate for veterans and their families, ensuring they have access to essential programs and services—especially those experiencing homelessness. This position plays a vital role in connecting individuals to resources, developing community partnerships, and facilitating the intake process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, organized, and committed to making a difference through hands-on community engagement and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate outreach efforts to locate and assist homeless veterans and their families

• Guide clients through the intake and application process, including eligibility screening and documentation

• Build and maintain relationships with community partners and service providers

• Manage accurate and up-to-date internal records, outreach trackers, and program reports

• Conduct presentations and outreach events to raise awareness of available veteran support programs

• Attend internal and external meetings relevant to outreach and veteran services

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• Minimum 2 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, or nonprofit work

• Familiarity with housing, homelessness, and veteran support resources

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to update and manage information in internal databases

• Compassionate and driven to support others in need

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow direction

• Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of accountability
