Diesel Fleet Mechanic
CicKo Transportation (/sis-koh/) is an elite trucking company that specializes in tackling oversized, overweight, and non-standard hauling needs. Headquartered just outside the steel city of Pittsburgh, we are known as the team that can transport any load: heavy equipment, oil and gas rigging, intermodal and dirt moving machines, cranes, storage tanks, and everything you can think of in between.
We are seeking a full-time, entry-level dayshift Diesel Fleet Mechanic for our trucks and trailers. If you think you have what it takes to roll with our crew and become a key member of our team, we want to hear from you!“It takes iron to move iron.” RESPONSIBILITIES:- Perform routine preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers.
- Perform minor repairs on trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose and repair wiring for lights.
- Fix air leaks in braking systems.
- Replace brake components including drums.
- Change and rotate tires as needed.
- Move trailers around the lot safely and efficiently.
- Shuttle vehicles to and from dealerships or service locations.
- Wash and detail trucks and trailers.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions (PA summers and winters).
- Previous experience in a shop or with vehicle maintenance
