Accounting Intern

Job Descriptions:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Performing various types of operations in a particular Accounting department as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide administrative support for the following functions:

• Financial Reporting

• Month end reporting process

• General ledger accounting functions

• Accounts Payable

• Accounts Receivable

• Payroll functions

• Scan documents and updates as needed

• Other duties may be assigned.

Required Experience:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.

• Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.

• Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary.

• Ability to adhere to workplace rules.

• Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.

• Basic computer skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, majoring in Finance or Accounting or another related major.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Shop floor and office environment.

• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.

• Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small/large tools).

• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
