Transfer Driver CDL

Responsibilities

• Transport products between warehouse locations using company trailers.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers as needed to support warehouse operations.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Perform daily yard checks of equipment, including monitoring fuel levels and temperatures.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and company safety procedures.
• Report any vehicle or trailer damages promptly through the company’s maintenance system.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance and adhere to assigned work schedules.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
• Report any animal welfare concerns to management immediately.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience; 4 years preferred.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Experience with refrigerated (reefer) units preferred.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack, forklift, and handheld scan device.
• Comfortable using smartphone, laptop, and tablet technology.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others.
• Basic math skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comply with all time and attendance policies.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds (and up to 80 pounds with assistance), crouch, squat, climb, and kneel as needed.
• Comfortable working around moving machinery and in cold environments.
