Position Overview
The Equipment Operator position is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a quarry/mine development setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
• Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA’s, Risk Assessments, etc.).
• Operates various pieces of equipment as assigned such as loader, dozer, motor grader, dirt roller, excavator/breaker, haul truck, skid steer, site truck, etc.
• Perform daily pre-shift safety inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Fuel and lubrication of equipment daily.
• Occasionally service internal and external customers.
• Communicate with plant operator as to what material is scheduled to be produced.
• Communicate with management and plant personnel when conditions change that may impact mine development or other plant operations.
• Train, understand, and assist in communicating to site personnel mine development plans.
• Enhance Mine Development
• Will perform duties within the quarry and site operations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Travel as required to provide mine development expertise to neighboring quarry operations.

Requirements

• Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.

• Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• 3-5 years of operating heavy equipment or related experience preferred.
