Who You Are: 

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture and have 5+ years of gardening or landscape experience preferably in private estate or public gardens. 

You are dependable, punctual, honest and respectful.

Qualified applicants must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Ornamental Horticulture or related field

• 5+ years of demonstrated gardening and/or landscape experience

• Strong plant identification skills

• Experience with the install, maintenance, and rotation of detail-oriented 4-Season planters and garden beds, which include diverse plantings of annuals, tropical, perennials, shrubs, trees, grasses, and bulbs

• The ability to perform a full range of horticultural tasks and duties with minimum guidance

• Proficient with hand tools and motorized landscape equipment 

• Commercial Pesticide Applicator’s License a plus.

• A Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate company vehicles, trucks, and trailers safely.

• Reliable transportation and the ability to arrive at work on time.

• Ability to walk, kneel, bend, and lift at least 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions

Planting bed installation and garden maintenance.
Tasks include:

• Sod removal when necessary, soil amendment and fertilizer applications

• Planting small, medium, and large trees – B&B and Containers 

• Planting shrubs, perennials, annuals, and bulbs

• Pruning and staking trees and perennials

• Dividing and transplanting annuals and perennials

• Deadheading, weeding, watering

• Simple irrigation set up and monitoring

• Edging, mulching, and site clean-up

• IPM Monitoring, recommendations, and execution

Seasonal containers. 

Tasks include:

• Designing, planting, fertilizing, topdressing, watering, simple irrigation set up and monitoring, weeding, deadheading, IPM, and any necessary ongoing maintenance of potted plants. 

● Transporting personnel and materials 
● Utilizing and maintaining hand tools and motorized landscape equipment. 

● Adhering to safety standards at the shop and on the work site
