Process Development Engineer

As a Process Development Engineer , you will be an individual contributor of our process development engineering team for OLED coatings and will manage the development and scale-up of high vacuum purification processes for emitter and host materials. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability while collaborating to achieve organizational goals. You will report to Sublimation Process Engineering Lead onsite at our Monroeville Research and Development Center.

Responsibilities :

• Design, development, and scale-up of the final stage purification process for emitter and host OLED materials. Steps will include annealing, seeded crystallization, high vacuum purification by sublimation/distillation, and optimizing bulk properties such as density through milling methods.

• Ensure processes are efficient, reliable, scalable, and compliant with EHS standards.

• Construct strategies to enhance performance, increase throughput, and resolve technical issues.

• Collaborate with technicians, chemists, and operations.

• Design and conduct experiments (DOE) to scale from lab to pilot and mass production.

• Present findings, updates, and recommendations at weekly team meetings.

• Maintain documentation for process validation, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

• Research technologies, innovations, and new equipment to overcome technical challenges.

Qualifications :

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering, or related.

• 2+ years' experience creating Design of Experiments (DOE)

• Experience with high vacuum process development and scale-up, and cleanroom operations is desirable.

• Experience using statistical analysis software such as Minitab or JMP or similar or experience using SQL or Python in a similar capacity.

• Knowledge of EHS standards and regulatory compliance.

• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
