What You’ll Do
In this pivotal leadership role, you will:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across MRI and partner modalities, ensuring high-quality imaging services and seamless team performance.
- Serve as a hands-on leader—supporting staff, stepping in as a technologist when needed, and modeling UPMC values in every interaction.
- Develop, interpret, and implement departmental policies, budgets, goals, and quality initiatives aligned with organizational strategy.
- Partner closely with the Radiology Director and Supervisors to build a cohesive, high-performing team culture.
- Lead protocol development, staff training, quality control initiatives, and process improvements across the division.
- Manage financial performance, staffing, job descriptions, evaluations, orientation, and ongoing professional development.
- Conduct staff meetings, oversee hiring and corrective action, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards including DOH and TJC.
- Maintain equipment quality, collaborate with vendors, and resolve operational issues with sound judgment and timely action.
- Ensure accuracy of charge processes, CPT compliance, and integrity of the modality’s Charge Description Master (CDM).
- Drive stellar patient satisfaction, efficient workflows, and consistent, high-quality imaging operations.
