Qualifications:

1. Understand, believe in and promote the work of MCC.
2. Understand that this is a part time position.
3. Enjoy working with people of all ages that include special needs and/or mental/physical capabilities.
4. Able to follow through with management tasks and oversee staffing needs.
5. Extra hours may be required when donations are heavy. When donations are light it may result in fewer working hours. Essentially being flexible with Time Management.
6. Able to research and decide if items will be sold on Silent Auction or otherwise.
7. Open & Close the Shoppe as assigned, scheduled into the Saturday Key Holder Rotation and/or is available to fill when needed (i.e. cover someone’s vacation, etc.).

Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Make decision regarding Antiques and Collectibles.
2. Clean, price and display items for sale in the Shoppe.
3. Make sure that the collectible area in the Shoppe and work room are neat, clean, and updated on a daily/weekly basis.
4. Oversee the Silent Auction Process (i.e. all items being picked up within 2 wks, follow up phone calls if needed, etc.)
5. Oversee clean up at the end of each work shift by providing a checklist in what needs to be done and have them initial it as well as date it.
6. Keep the confidentiality of the security codes as related to opening and closing the Shoppe.

Please Note:

This no doubt is an extremely important position. It is understood that one would do their very best to provide items for resale at a reasonable price. Donations are given to Country Gift & Thrift Shoppe believing that every effort possible will be giving to generate money to help those in need. With that in mind, any items desired for self purchase must be price by another Team Leader or the Manager.

Working Hours :

Minimum: 3 or 4 days per week - 8 hrs. per day

Maximum: 4 days per week

1. Saturday’s – Scheduled into the Sat rotation (Approx. one Sat every 7-8 weeks and/or be available to fill when needed.)

Our shop has 2 floors (we have an elevator) of upscale high-quality merchandise and treasures for the entire family—beautiful linens, brand-name clothing, purses and shoes, as well as jewelry, housewares, toys, books galore, and must-see vintage & antiques. 100 hand-picked items on our Silent Auction at all times. We offer hand-made Quilts, Aprons, Pillows, and more. We have a 50-cent clothing rack, a store-wide weekly 50% off color tag of the week sale, with that color tag at 75% off on Saturdays.
