Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and knives.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional service to guests.
- Uphold high standards of food handling practices to ensure the safety of all meals served.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and methods.
- Familiarity with dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Experience in menu planning and fine dining settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent knife skills and ability to prepare meals efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- A passion for cooking and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Minimum 3 years experience
- ServeSafe Certification preferred but not mandatory.
