Senior Roadway Engineer

About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Roadway Engineer with 15 years of proven expertise to join our growing transportation team in Pittsburgh. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer with a strong background in PennDOT and PA Turnpike roadway projects , looking to take on both technical leadership and project management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead roadway design, modeling, and plan development for major PennDOT and PA Turnpike projects.

• Prepare and oversee roadway plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

• Ensure compliance with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, and AASHTO design standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and agencies to deliver high-quality, cost-effective transportation solutions.

• Provide technical mentorship to junior staff (EITs and younger engineers).

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communication.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania (required).

• 15 years of roadway engineering experience with emphasis on PennDOT and PA Turnpike projects.

• Proficiency in roadway design/modeling software (MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, etc.).

• Demonstrated success in managing roadway projects from planning through delivery.

• Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
