Job Summary

We are looking for a versatile and proactive Food & Beverage Manager to support and strengthen our F&B operations across all departments at the iconic Longwood Gardens. This is a floating leadership role designed for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys variety, and can step into different areas— catering, events, café, restaurant, and retail —to provide hands-on support, cover management gaps, and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Step into leadership roles across F&B outlets as needed—covering for managers, supporting during peak periods, or launching new initiatives.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations in the café, restaurant, retail food areas, and event catering.
  • Act as a bridge between departments, ensuring consistency in service, standards, and guest experience.
  • Support the planning and execution of weddings, private events, and corporate functions.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Troubleshoot on the ground and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor team members across departments, reinforcing SOPs and service standards.
  • Assist with onboarding new staff and supporting seasonal ramp-ups.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
  • Conduct spot checks and audits to ensure hygiene, safety, and brand standards are upheld.
  • Identify operational gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Support inventory, ordering, and stock rotation processes.
  • Lead or assist with special projects such as menu rollouts, pop-up events, or retail launches.
  • Provide feedback to senior leadership on operational needs and guest trends.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in hospitality/F&B management, ideally across multiple formats (e.g., café, events, catering, retail).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and operational best practices.
  • A passion for hospitality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
