Popcorn for the People is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of events from concept through completion. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality events that align with organizational goals, drive engagement, and support our mission.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
???? Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning & Execution
Plan, organize, and execute events from initial concept through post-event analysis
Secure venues, coordinate logistics, and manage vendor relationships
Oversee on-site event execution and troubleshoot issues in real-time
Ensure events are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
Budgeting & Performance
Develop and manage event budgets and sales goals
Track event performance and prepare post-event reports with recommendations
Staffing & Training
Recruit, hire, and coordinate event staff or partner with schools/programs for staffing
Train staff on company mission, event setup, product knowledge, and POS systems
Supervise staff during events and ensure a high standard of performance
Community Engagement
Coordinate with community partners and participate in seasonal, monthly, and annual events and festivals
Identify opportunities to enhance event success and expand community presence
Operations Support
Manage inventory and ensure proper stocking of merchandise for events
Coordinate deliveries to vendors and retail locations as needed
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred
Proven experience planning and executing successful events
Skills & Competencies
Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to high-quality experiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management tools
Flexible schedule with availability for evenings and weekends
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical event setup tasks
Ability to work in varying environments (indoor/outdoor events, weather conditions, etc.)
