Job Summary: (Basic Description of day-to-day job duties.) The Production Supervisor position requires an individual who will lead a team of dedicated team members to attain production and quality goals. You will lead a team to identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolve issues. You will be responsible and teach responsibility for managing and owning various operations. Most importantly, you will be responsible for creating an engaged and team-oriented work force. This position reports to the Ano/Pack/Ship Manager.

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience :

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• A post-secondary degree preferred but not required.
• 5 + years successful manufacturing experience.
• At least one-year supervising 15 or more employees.
• Previous aluminum extrusion experience a plus.
• Experience in employee involvement in multi-discipline teaming a plus.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications :

• Strong computer skills
• Basic mechanical components/aptitude.
• Previous Leadership Training preferred.
• Ability to interact well in a team environment and relate work to be completed so it can be accomplished most effectively with all levels of employees.
• Keen listening/communication abilities to lead improvement processes within various areas and levels of the organization.

• Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities.
• Supervise the team consisting of all personnel in all roles.
• Achieve the shift metrics, as assigned by Department Manager.
• Foster an environment where employees willingly make extra effort to exceed goals elevating new ideas (both your own and those of your employees) and executing plans to positively impact the plant operations and goals.
