Job Description Summary
The Advanced Particle Therapy Translational and Clinical Research Group at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Coordinator to join our team. Our group focuses on translating advanced particle therapy techniques into the most precise, lowest-toxicity treatments for children and adults with cancer. This position will coordinate clinical and translational research projects by managing timelines, supporting regulatory submissions, and maintaining accurate study records. Assist with literature reviews, data collection, grant and manuscript preparation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support research objectives.
Position is contingent upon funding.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with project management, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and milestones for multiple concurrent studies
  • Conduct literature searches and reviews to support grant applications, study designs, and manuscript development
  • Perform retrospective chart reviews in compliance with institutional review board (IRB) requirements, extracting and organizing clinical data
  • Support clinical trial development, including drafting protocols, consent forms, and regulatory documents
  • Contribute to grant preparation and submission, including drafting sections, assembling supporting documents, and tracking deadlines
  • Assist with manuscript preparation, formatting, submission, and responding to peer-review comments
  • Maintain accurate, well-organized records of research activities and data
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Bachelor of Arts is also welcome.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
