Summary: This is a hands-on supervisory position. The Production Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in manufacturing processes, such as assembling, welding, and applying knowledge of processes involved, production methods, and products.
9/80 schedule- every other Friday scheduled off!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the daily work activities of an assigned production team
- Participate in the hiring process
- Reconcile and approve payroll time sheets bi-weekly
- Complete performance evaluations for all direct reports as per company policy
- Oversee and/or conduct training of new and existing employees
- Fabricate and test thermal products and support hardware
- Identify materials, both incoming and in-process, as required per material identification and inspection procedures
- Complete and maintain manufacturing travelers, as required
- Acts to assure product quality and customer satisfaction
- Perform in-process and final inspections, as required
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Work as part of the team to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Monitors quality of incoming raw materials and finished products
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Interprets or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists production workers in solving work problems
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
• Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school; or 2-5 years of related production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Technical and fabrication skill extremely desirable
• Good verbal and written skills essential
• Must portray leadership ability and persuasiveness
• Comfortable using various computer applications
• Prior work supervision or training experience is very desirable
• Innovative mindset and teamwork mentality are crucial
• Authorized to work in the US. US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Individual (as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)) necessary due to ITAR responsibilities
