Preschool Teacher (3-4 year olds)

The Agape School is looking for a warm, nurturing, and engaging Preschool Teacher to join our growing team. We are seeking someone who has a true love for children, a passion for early childhood education, and a heart for creating a safe and inspiring classroom environment for our 3- and 4-year-old scholars.

At The Agape School, we believe in providing a strong educational foundation through love, learning, STEAM, and Spanish. Our teachers play an important role in helping children grow socially, emotionally, academically, and spiritually in a caring and structured environment.

Position Summary

The Preschool Teacher will lead a classroom of children ages 3–4 and create meaningful learning experiences through hands-on activities, structured play, and age-appropriate instruction. The ideal candidate is patient, creative, organized, and enthusiastic about helping children build confidence and kindergarten readiness skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
• Teach early learning concepts such as letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and name recognition
• Incorporate hands-on learning, STEAM activities, and Spanish throughout the day
• Lead classroom routines including circle time, centers, meals, rest time, and outdoor play
• Use positive guidance and redirection to support behavior and classroom management
• Observe and document children’s growth and developmental progress
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Communicate professionally and warmly with parents and families
• Collaborate with co-teachers and school leadership

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or early learning setting preferred
• CDA, associate degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices
• Patient, dependable, creative, and team-oriented
• Passion for teaching and building strong relationships with children and families

Requirements

• Ability to pass all required background clearances
• Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Health assessment and TB clearance
• Completion of mandated reporter training and other required state trainings
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance
