A Day in This Role

Picture your evening starting at 4:45 p.m. You complete a quick equipment check, sync your RF scanner with the warehouse management system, and review priorities. Trailers are backing in—your forklift is moving materials into racking, staging finished goods, and feeding production lines. You capture Hazmat-compliant loading documentation, perform cycle counts between moves, and hand-stack pallets to keep operations flowing. Quality checks and tidy work areas are second nature. By 3:00 a.m., you’ve kept people safe, product moving, and inventory accurate.

Role Details

• Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday–Thursday, 4:45 p.m.–3:00 a.m.; overtime on Saturdays as required.
• Compensation: $21.63 per hour, plus a $2.00 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift.

What You’ll Tackle

• Operate sit-down forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Execute inventory work: cycle counts, physical inventory, and product verification.
• Load/receive materials from trailers; store and move product in and out of racking.
• Complete loading documentation in accordance with Hazmat rules.
• Use the plant’s warehouse management system and RFID/RF scanners.
• Perform packing and quality checks with required documentation.
• Hand-stack palletized goods when needed to keep operations running smoothly.
• Own the final quality of every unit placed into a customer shipper; verify standards with the Team Leader when in doubt.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety in your area; report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Follow all GMPs, SOPs, Safety Standards, and plant policies.
• Work around high noise (location dependent) and a variety of chemicals/chemical products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of forklift experience (sit-down strongly preferred).
• Background in distribution, manufacturing, and/or food industry strongly preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Sustained focus—visual attention, alertness, and active listening for extended periods.
• Comfort standing, sitting, lifting, bending, crouching, reaching, and climbing throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Manual dexterity to handle packaging components (sprayers, bottles, caps).
• Adherence to Health & Safety and GMP regulations.
• Ability to lift 45 lbs. from floor on occasion.
• Safe forklift operation around people and equipment for up to 12 hours.
• Willingness to work in non-temperature-controlled areas, including heat and humidity, for extended periods.
• Overtime flexibility as needed.
