Small Equipment Mechanic
GSL is seeking a dependable and skilled Small Equipment Mechanic to join our team and help maintain our fleet of construction and landscape equipment. This full-time position offers steady, year-round work in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, takes pride in minimizing equipment downtime, and enjoys working independently to keep equipment in top condition. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on a variety of small equipment, including skid steers, mini excavators, compact track loaders, plate compactors, generators, lawnmowers, weedwackers and pumps
- Perform preventative maintenance and regular inspections to ensure equipment is production-ready
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
- Respond promptly to equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of mechanical experience with small equipment, diesel, or heavy equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
