IT Auditor

Responsibilities: The IT Auditor is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the Credit Union’s IT controls, security measures, and risk management processes. This role focuses on assessing IT systems, applications, networks, and related processes to ensure data integrity, system availability, security, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Perform and report on IT audits, including application controls, general controls, cybersecurity, and system implementations in accordance with the approved audit plan.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of IT control design and operating effectiveness in accordance with frameworks such as NIST and CIS.
• Evaluate IT policies, procedures, and security configurations for compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements, such as Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.
• Assist in performing risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements in IT governance, security, and operations.
• Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported audit workpapers and reports for management review.
• Partner with applicable Audit Management to ensure timely remediation of open audit findings.
• Support internal investigations of fraud or misconduct and member complaint investigations as assigned.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in internal audit and the financial institutions industry.

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity processes and concepts, data governance, and application and infrastructure controls

• Robust knowledge of financial institution practices, risks, and the regulatory environment
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data mining tools and practices

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
• Ability to sit for extended time periods
• Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment
• Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
• Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
1-3 years of related experience

This figure serves as the entry point in our salary range, and there is potential for the actual salary to be higher based on a variety of factors, such as your experience, skills, education, and location. We believe in recognizing and rewarding talent, so our compensation packages are thoughtfully designed to reflect the unique qualifications and contributions of each candidate.
