Our Specialty Risk Team offers candidates the opportunity to support the evolution of value-based care across the Radiology, Cardiology and Oncology spaces. We are advocates for creating patient value and demonstrate this by ensuring that our financial arrangements are actuarially sound and sustainable. Who You'll Be Working With:
The Analyst, Actuarial Services utilizes and develops analytic tools to solve complex business challenges as well as support decision making that can have a considerable impact on the organization and patient health. This role primarily supports calculation of IBNR balances for the monthly financial close.
The Actuarial Analyst will inform decision making across the company by conducting analyses and developing actionable insights. The Actuarial Analyst will have the opportunity to shape team culture and operating norms at a high-growth organization.
What You'll Be Doing:

Support calculation of IBNR balances for monthly close

Collaborate with internal customers to understand their problems and objectives, solve business questions, and help them to achieve goals by performing statistical analysis, developing analytic models, creating data reports/dashboards using a variety of performance metrics

Support ad hoc analyses to provide data-driven insights to answer specific business questions that arise from company leadership and partners

Streamline processes to improve efficiency of key deliverables

Collaborate with various functional areas across Evolent including Clinical, Finance, Accounting, and Analytics

Communicate actuarial concepts and concerns within actuarial department

Be reliable; set clear expectations, communicate proactively, and escalate risks as needed

Consistently deliver high-quality, error-free deliverables

The Experience You'll Need (Required):

Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics or related degree

Candidates must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed a minimum of one actuarial exam

Strong technical skills required in Microsoft office
Finishing Touches (Preferred):
-
Past actuarial experience and/or internship
-
2+ actuarial exams passed
-
Experience with IBNR calculations
-
Familiarity or experience with medical/pharmacy claims
-
Familiarity with PowerQuery/BI/VBA
-
Ability to read and write SQL code

Technical Requirements:
We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $70,000-$75,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
