HiFyve is hiring a Plastic Molding Technician for day shift!

Shift: 5 AM- 5 PM 223 schedule

Pay: $23.00 – $24.50 per hour

Location: Allentown, PA

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate blow molding machinery to produce high-quality PET bottles.
• Perform routine inspections, basic cleaning, and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Detect jams or malfunctions and make adjustments as necessary.
• Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Set up and operate blow molding machines according to work order specifications.
• Install dies onto machines or presses, coating dies with parting agents as required.
• Use forklifts to store and transport palletized bottles within the warehouse.
• Listen to machines during operation to detect abnormal sounds and adjust machinery to prevent issues.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and wear all required PPE, including hairnets, beard nets, earplugs, and safety glasses.
• Support quality objectives and compliance with the SQF System.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager or Blow Mold Lead.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of two years of work-related experience or training preferred
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• Computer experience required
• Forklift certification required (must be completed within 90 days of hire)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing equipment
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
• Attention to detail in product inspection and quality control
• Ability to follow SOPs, safety protocols, and GMP regulations
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
