Recruiter & Community Outreach Specialist

The Recruiter & Community Outreach Specialist plays a vital role in connecting underserved populations to Tec Centro’s educational and workforce programs. This position focuses on outreach, relationship-building, and recruitment through community engagement, promotional efforts, and partnership development. The specialist ensures effective communication about Tec Centro’s offerings and supports prospective students throughout the enrollment process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Outreach and Community Engagement

· Represent Tec Centro at community events, job fairs, information sessions, and partner

· Meetings.

· Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, businesses, and

· Faith-based groups.

· Promote Tec Centro’s programs through in-person visits, presentations, and digital

· Communication.

· Support the planning and execution of community engagement strategies, including events

· Coordination and outreach campaigns.

Recruitment and Enrollment Support

· Conduct outreach to potential students through calls, emails, social media, and face-to-face interaction.

· Guide prospective students through the enrollment process, including program

· Information and next steps.

· Work closely with staff to meet program-specific recruitment goals.

· Track outreach and recruitment efforts using data to support strategic planning.

Marketing and Communications

· Implement targeted recruitment strategies across various communication platforms.

· Coordinate campaigns to promote ESL, workforce training, and certification programs.

· Represent the organization at public speaking events and media opportunities.

Administration and Reporting

· Maintain accurate records of recruitment activity and enrollment outcomes.

· Assist with report creation and data analysis to evaluate outreach impact.

· Participate in team meetings and support cross-departmental initiatives.

· Perform other duties and contribute to special projects assigned.

Other Duties

· This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The Recruiter and Community Outreach Specialist may be required to perform other duties as assigned in support of office operations.

Requirements

· Bilingual (Spanish/English)

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· 1–2 years of experience in recruitment, advising, or outreach; volunteer or peer roles

· Strong communication and public speaking skills

· Experience working with diverse communities

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and outreach technology tools

· Strategic thinking and data-informed decision-making abilities

· Valid PA driver’s license

· Ability to lift to 25 lbs. and maintain a flexible schedule (including evenings)

Working Conditions

· Office-based with regular travel to off-site events and community locations.

· Moderate noise levels typical of a busy learning environment.

· Frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs.

Salary Description

48,000-50,000
