Get to know the opportunity: As a Technical Service Representative , you will play a critical role in supporting ChemDAQ's customers by troubleshooting equipment, coordinating sensor exchanges, and ensuring the proper installation and maintenance of our gas monitoring systems. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, and a customer-first mindset. You will collaborate with customers remotely and on-site, working closely with internal teams to deliver top-tier service and technical expertise.

Primary Responsibilities

? Provide prompt and effective support to customers via phone and email to resolve technical issues.

? Coordinate and execute onsite sensor exchanges as part of ChemDAQ's Sensor Exchange Program.

? Work directly with customers in the field to troubleshoot equipment, conduct end-user training, and gather relevant data.

? Develop a deep understanding of ChemDAQ's gas monitoring systems and train end users both onsite and remotely.

? Perform repairs on displays and sensor assemblies, both at customer locations and in-house.

? Maintain detailed documentation of all repair activities, procedures and findings.

? Educate end users on the theory, operation and maintenance of ChemDAQ equipment.

? Ensure proper installation and functionality of monitoring systems, performing necessary repairs as needed.

? Possess or be willing to obtain a valid passport for potential international travel.

? Assist engineering team in the assembly and testing of prototypes.

? Accurately complete and submit expense reports and time sheets in a timely manner.

? Collaborate effectively with other departments to support customer needs and company objectives.

? Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

? Must be willing to travel up to 50% and open to cross-training in customer technical support and quality assurance.

? 2 years post high school technical degree preferred

? or repair preferred

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Access, is essential.

? A valid U.S. driver's license with a clean record is required, as the role involves traveling to customer sites for sensor exchanges.

? Proven ability to manage multiple installation projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

? Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop installation manuals and customer training materials.

? Experience configuring Windows-based computers is preferred.

? Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

? Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot effectively.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
