Rotary Grinding Specialist
- Inspect parts prior to grinding to identify chips, cracks, or defects.
- Verify workpiece dimensions against blueprint specifications.
- Inspect incoming parts from other departments for accuracy and quality.
- Review blueprints for inconsistencies and communicate findings as needed.
- Apply basic grinding principles and practices to support accurate machining operations.
- Record job times accurately for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Provide input and suggestions to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and state and federal regulations.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free workplace.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to diagnose and correct equipment or process issues using test equipment and/or prior experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand written correspondence and technical documentation.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
- Ability to stand, sit, or bend for up to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted and with control.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, ear protection, and safety shoes.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- On-site role within a precision machining facility.
- Frequent exposure to large industrial machinery and moving mechanical parts.
- Moderately high noise levels in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of a surface grinding apprenticeship program or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
