Judicial secretary / office manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Judicial Secretary/Jury Manager is responsible for providing general administrative and clerical duties for the Judge and for processing all juror summons.
Implements and follows procedures that expedite the flow of court documents.
Screens visitors and phone calls for the judge and answers inquiries or refers them to appropriate staff for handling.
Assists with mail processing.
Manages the Court office calendar and the court’s daily calendar.
Manages and approves time off in the county timekeeping system for direct court staff.
Drafts documents as requested.
Organizes files, notes, and correspondence.
Manages the daily operations related to summoning, deferring, and excusing jurors for service.
Assists on jury selection day with processing of jurors.
Maintains statistical data regarding jury usage and juror attendance.
Provide customer service and assistance to jurors.
Position Requirements:
Knowledge of computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor.
Work as a team player.
Manage time efficiently.
Education/Experience: Position requires a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
