Customer Service Representative - Remote
Travel: 50%+ field travel required (travel expenses reimbursed) Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? We're looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team and support our community members in accessing essential healthcare services. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with individuals, helping them navigate preventive health services, maternity care, chronic condition support, and more. If you're a people person who thrives on face-to-face interactions and enjoys building meaningful relationships, this could be a great fit for you! What You'll Be Doing: Engage directly with members in the community to provide education and support for preventive health, maternity care, and chronic condition management.
Assist members in completing Health Risk Assessments, identifying healthcare barriers (transportation, financial, knowledge gaps), and scheduling appointments.
Coordinate care by connecting members with healthcare providers, community resources, and state agencies like Children and Youth Services (CYS) and juvenile probation.
Build strong relationships with members and community organizations, empowering individuals to take charge of their health and well-being.
Deliver training sessions for providers and community groups on Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) services and other preventive health initiatives.
Develop educational materials and contribute to programs that support at-risk populations.
Represent the organization at community events, spreading awareness and supporting outreach efforts. What You Need to Succeed: High School Diploma or GED
Medical assistant experience
Call center experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Empathy and cultural awareness—an understanding of challenges faced by Medicaid populations, including transportation, childcare, and trust in healthcare systems
Patience and strong customer service skills Note: Act 33/34 and 73 clearances are required but can be obtained after receiving an offer. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in healthcare-related customer service or outreach
Spanish bilingual skills
Basic knowledge of medical terminology
