The hotel AC technician installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. They ensure guest comfort, fix breakdowns in guest rooms or public spaces, and run routine preventive checks to keep energy costs low.
Responsibilities:Repair and Service: Fix broken AC units, fan coil units, chillers, and exhaust fans promptly.
Preventive Maintenance: Clean coils, change filters, and check system performance on a regular schedule.
Guest Response: Answer urgent calls from guest rooms or public areas regarding temperature or airflow issues.
Refrigerant Management: Monitor and adjust refrigerant levels safely according to environmental laws.
Record Keeping: Log daily work, track parts inventory, and report major issues to the engineering manager.
Education: High school diploma or GED; a technical trade certificate in HVAC or refrigeration is preferred.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience working with commercial cooling or hospitality systems.
Certifications: Universal CFC (Chlorofluorocarbon) certification for handling refrigerants and a valid driver's license.
Physical Skills: Ability to lift heavy gear, climb ladders, and work in tight or warm spaces.
Soft Skills: Good communication skills and willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, or on-call emergencies.
