Your Impact:
In this role, you’ll be the go-to leader on the production floor, spending 85% of your time in action , supporting your team, ensuring quality standards are met, and driving operational excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead from the Floor: Partner closely with the Department Supervisor to support personnel, equipment, and shift operations for maximum efficiency
- Drive Performance: Monitor and achieve KPIs across safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service
- Champion Quality & Compliance: Ensure all products meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Inspect & Validate: Perform routine inspections of semi-finished and finished products, identifying defects and ensuring specifications are met
- Analyze & Improve: Track trends, conduct root cause analysis, apply SPC methods, and recommend process improvements
- Report & Communicate: Document test results, prepare reports, and clearly communicate quality issues and solutions across teams and shifts
- Audit & Ensure Standards: Audit the production floor, verify adherence to procedures, correct issues, and escalate when needed
- Support Scheduling: Help coordinate schedules and resources to ensure production goals are met seamlessly
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with multiple departments to solve problems and improve communication flow
- Prepare for Success: Assist with third-party audits and maintain accurate documentation
- Support Lean Initiatives: Actively contribute to Operational Excellence and continuous improvement efforts
What You Will Bring:
- At least one (1) year of related quality control experience working in a fast-paced work environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Understanding of and ability to apply statistical process control (SPC), analytic skills, root cause analysis, repeat and reliability methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, and spreadsheets in MS Word and MS Excel
- Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience using Quality Management System, SAP
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree
- Prior training experience
- Previous experience in a Lead role
