Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Business System Analyst with deep expertise in Guidewire BillingCenter and OneShield platforms to support billing operations and system enhancements within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain.

This role involves gathering and translating business requirements, configuring billing systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, document, and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for Guidewire BillingCenter and OneShield platforms.
  • Collaborate with business users to define billing requirements including invoicing, payments, disbursements, write-offs, commissions, and collections.
  • Configure and optimize Guidewire BillingCenter to support the full billing lifecycle and ensure seamless integration with PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and external systems.
  • Analyze existing billing workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with development teams, solution architects, and QA to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project requirements.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-production validation; assist in triaging and resolving production issues.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and meetings to define project scope and objectives.
  • Lead change management activities including user training, documentation, and communication of system enhancements.
  • Ensure alignment with compliance requirements and financial reporting standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Guidewire BillingCenter and OneShield billing capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience as an IT Business System Analyst with a focus on Guidewire BillingCenter implementations.
  • Proven experience working with OneShield platforms in billing or policy administration contexts.
  • Deep understanding of P&C insurance billing processes including premium accounting, dunning, commissions, and payment processing.
  • Proficient in documenting use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong knowledge of Guidewire configuration, data models, and integration points.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Guidewire Cloud Certification (e.g., Certified Ace Analyst – BillingCenter).
  • Experience with large-scale Guidewire suite implementations or upgrades.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and financial reporting requirements in the insurance domain.
  • Working knowledge of integration technologies (e.g., SOAP/REST APIs, batch processing, middleware tools).
  • Familiarity with additional Guidewire modules such as PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter.

Education: Bachelors Degree

Certification: Guidewire Cloud Certification , Certified Ace Analyst – BillingCenter
