Job SummaryGeisinger is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our NICU team in the Geisinger Northeast Regional Neonatology Division, consisting of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWV) in Wilkes-Barre, PA and Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) in Scranton, PA. The GWV service is centered around a private room Level 3 NICU and the GCMC service is centered around a private room Level 2 NICU; both NICUs are located immediately adjacent to their respective labor and delivery service. Job Duties

Opportunity Details

• Network NICU Coverage (Level 3 NICU; 14 beds, expanding to 20 beds & Level 2 NICU; 7 beds under development)
• 2,000+ deliveries annually
• Flexible shift combinations (8hr, 16hr, and 24hr shifts)
• No outpatient clinic

Essential Responsibilities

• Attending deliveries/delivery room management of all infants less than 35 weeks and other high-risk indications
• Admissions including history and physical
• Assessments and ongoing management of current NICU patients
• Intubation
• Umbilical line placement
• Chest tubes
• Arterial puncture
• Arterial line placement
• Ventilator management
• Others as applicable

EducationMaster's Degree-Nurse Practitioner (Required)
Certification(s) and License(s)Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body; Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania
