Overview
System One is seeking a Data Solutions Developer in the Harrisburg, PA area. This individual will focus on the creation, enhancement, and optimization of enterprise-level data warehouse solutions. The primary goal of this position is to utilize Azure cloud technologies, Power BI, and database expertise to provide the high-quality data necessary for informed business strategy and analytics.

**This is a remote position that may require occasional travel. We are looking for a candidate in the Greater Harrisburg area. Please note that we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.**

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance, scalable data warehouse architectures.
• Develop and refine ETL/ELT workflows using SSIS or Azure Data Factory.
• Author complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to facilitate data loading and transformation.
• Consolidate information from various sources while maintaining strict data integrity and consistency.
• Utilize Azure services, specifically Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database.
• Create meaningful Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to business needs.
• Partner with stakeholders to convert reporting requirements into functional technical tools.
• Manage data warehouse health, focusing on uptime, scalability, and performance tuning.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all data models and procedural workflows.
• Execute additional tasks as needed to support the data platform.

Education and Professional Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in database programming and data warehouse development.
• Expert-level proficiency in relational database design and T-SQL (SQL Server).
• Practical experience working within the Azure data ecosystem, including Synapse, Azure SQL, and Data Factory.
• Solid understanding of data modeling methods, such as snowflake and star schemas.
• Proficiency in Power BI development, including the use of Power Query and DAX.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Proven ability to manage tasks independently with minimal oversight.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background check as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with Sage 300 or Davisware.
• Familiarity with reporting through SSRS or QlikView.

Travel Requirements

• Flexibility to travel to different worksites and divisions when required.
