Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Manager, Accounting Operations will help drive operational improvements within the finance department to further develop a highly efficient, world-class accounting process.

Core Role Responsibilities

• Serve as a hands-on team member responsible for creating and reviewing daily and monthly entries related to all business transaction cycles
• Supervise and coach accounting staff on daily tasks and developmental areas
• Ensure an accurate and timely month end close by providing management and support to the accounting close process
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for both internal and external users
• Analytically review reporting trends
• Research and assist in implementation of new FASB regulations important for the business
• Enforce and review accounting policies and procedures to ensure proper internal controls are in place for the most effective and efficient reporting process.
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department to support overall department goals
• Act as subject matter expert for system integrations related to Accounting Operations
• Respond to inquiries from the CFO and companywide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like
• Assist in preparing for and managing annual external audit, coordinate with other auditors as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
• 7+ years' experience in accounting, financial reporting, or related field
• 3+ years of experience leading people

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or actively pursuing CPA
• Experience with ERP system and reporting systems Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and PowerBI
• Experience in Public Accounting, or related industry experience
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge and application of US GAAP
• Prior demonstration of documenting and maintaining a COSO Framework, SOX Control environment, and accounting best practices
• Review and implement accounting processes and procedures to ensure proper internal controls, efficiency, and accuracy
• Advanced Excel skills including PowerPivots, macros and advanced formulas
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Access
• Strong interpersonal skills and team working capabilities enabling one to interface at all levels
