Part-Time Infant Nanny Needed
Looking for a part-time nanny to care for our two children (ages 2 and 5) on weekday evenings. Expectations include picking children up from daycare, planning age-appropriate activities within the home, facilitate learning, light household chores, and preparing dinner for the children. Spanish fluency would be great but not required.
II. Minimum Requirements:
In order to be eligible for the Nanny position, a qualified candidate must fulfill the following minimum requirements:

- Have a High School Diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Have 3 plus years of childcare experience, or related professional work experience (such as daycare, teaching, etc.)
- Successful completion of Mandated Reporter Training
- Successful completion of, or willingness to successfully complete car seat safety training prior to start date.
- Background check demonstrating suitability for this position caring for young children without supervision.
- Possess valid CPR and First-Aid Certifications or be willing to obtain or renew as a condition of hire.
- Proficient knowledge of home safety.
- Possess sound moral character and kind disposition suitable for caring for children of all ages without supervision.
- Be physically fit, energetic, agile, and dexterous.
- Provide proof of current vaccinations including but not limited to Td or Tdap, MMR, HepA, HepB, PCV, influenza, TB.
- Handle age-appropriate care and responsibilities of children including:
- Supervising outdoor play
- Age appropriate activities
- Possess valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record demonstrating proficient driving skills. Nanny must have their own vehicle.
- Essential Job Functions:
- Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for the child(ren).
- Reliably and predictably attending work and being punctual.
- Safely bathing and dressing infants and young children.
- Disciplining the child(ren) according to the family’s preferred parenting style.
- Engaging in indoor and outdoor play.
- Researching, planning, and engaging in educational activities and crafts.
- Laundering children’s clothes, bedding, etc.
- Planning meals, preparing food, and/or feeding the child(ren).
- Reading to the children
- Organizing bedrooms/toys.
- Administering medicine with parents’ consent, if necessary.
- Performing light housekeeping such as dishwashing, grocery shopping, tidying up, vacuuming, etc.
- The ability to work 3 days/week, late afternoon to evening.
- Performing several childcare and childcare-related tasks at once.
- Preventing harm to the child(ren), including but not limited to the ability to take swift action to prevent harm or remove children from potentially harmful circumstances.
- Lifting 25l lbs.
- Using hands and fingers to handle or feel.
- Standing/bending/stretching/reaching/kneeling/crawling, etc.
- Maintaining logs for the parents.
- Safely and legally operating a motor vehicle to carpool, or drive children to school, activities, medical appointments, playdates or run errands.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the family.
