We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Cities and Places buildings team in Philadelphia, PA . In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced architects and engineers to contribute to the design of structural systems across a diverse portfolio of building types, including research and development facilities, mission-critical environments, data centers, transportation, and higher education projects.

You’ll support the delivery of structural designs, performing analysis, developing calculations, and assisting in the preparation of construction documents. With guidance from senior engineers, you’ll continue building your technical expertise while gaining exposure to project delivery, client coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Our global network will provide you access to technical experts and opportunities for growth and learning.

What you’ll do

  • Assist in the structural design and analysis of building systems under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Prepare calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications for a variety of projects
  • Support coordination with architects and other engineering disciplines
  • Contribute to meeting project scope, schedule, and quality objectives
  • Participate in project meetings and assist with construction administration tasks as needed
  • Continue developing technical knowledge and professional skills

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 3+ years of relevant structural design experience (buildings preferred)
  • Working knowledge of structural design and analysis software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM)
  • Familiarity with building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE)
  • Strong communication skills and desire to learn and grow in a collaborative environment

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progress toward PE licensure
  • Experience with Revit or other BIM tools
  • Exposure to design-build or collaborative delivery methods
  • Interest in working across diverse building types and project scales

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

74,700.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

102,700.00

And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.

The base salary range for this position is $74,700.00 to $102,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
