About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified OR RN in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19019!

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with strong Level I Trauma experience to join a high-acuity surgical team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both scrub and circulate roles and comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-volume OR
• Perform both scrub and circulating duties
• Assist in complex surgical procedures including trauma, transplant, and vascular cases
• Maintain sterile field and ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
• Float to other units (GI or ambulatory surgery center) as needed

Work Environment

• 14 Operating Rooms
• High-acuity, Level I Trauma Center
• Adult patient population
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team

Scheduling & Requirements

• No block scheduling
• 6-week schedule includes:
  • (2) weekend night shifts
  • (1) summer & (1) winter holiday call
  • (1) summer & (1) winter holiday shift
• Floating required to GI or surgery center

Important Notes

• No first-time travelers
• Must have strong trauma and transplant experience
• Orientation: 40 hours

Requirements

• Active PA RN License or Compact License
• BSN required
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2–3 years Level I Trauma experience
• Previous travel experience (required)
• Experience with:
  • General OR
  • Trauma surgery
  • Liver & Kidney transplant cases
