Join a company where your work matters.
At Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES), we don’t just deliver environmental solutions—we build trusted partnerships that shape a healthier, more sustainable future. For over 30 years, GES has been a leader in environmental consulting and engineering services, helping Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and private clients solve their most complex environmental challenges. Our people are the foundation of our success: we value innovation, technical excellence, collaboration, and the drive to make an impact.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental Project Manager to join our growing team in Exton, PA. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a leadership role and enjoys working on complex projects with diverse technical and regulatory demands across Pennsylvania and the surrounding region.
What You’ll Do:
As an Environmental Project Manager at GES, you’ll take full ownership of a dynamic portfolio of projects, with a strong focus on environmental investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. You’ll lead technical teams, serve as a primary client contact, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Manage a diverse portfolio of environmental investigation and remediation projects (primarily in PA, with occasional work in NJ and DE).
Supervise and mentor technical staff; assign resources and oversee the preparation of reports, proposals, and project deliverables.
Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and reliable project execution.
Lead project planning, execution, and budgeting; track performance against financial goals.
Review and author technical documents, including complex site characterizations and remedial action plans.
Evaluate subsurface data for soil, vapor, and groundwater to support remediation strategies.
Apply knowledge of remedial systems under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
Prepare and implement regulatory strategies in line with state and local environmental policies.
Collaborate with internal teams and business development staff to support consistent, high-quality service.
Conduct performance reviews, lead team meetings, and support staff development and workload management.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
5–10+ years of relevant experience, including investigation, remediation, reporting, and client/project management.
Strong working knowledge of PA environmental regulations, including Act 2, HSCA, and Chapter 245.
Proven experience authoring and reviewing complex technical documents and reports.
Demonstrated success in managing clients, project budgets, and personnel.
Skilled in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail.
Professional Geologist (PG) certification is a plus.
Experience with business development and proposal writing is a strong plus.
Why GES?
Employee-first culture that values growth, mentorship, and collaboration.
Diverse project portfolio across multiple industries and regulatory programs.
Competitive compensation and benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and generous PTO.
Opportunities for advancement in a company that promotes from within.
Flexible work environment with a commitment to work-life balance and sustainability.
