A commercial printing company has an opening for Bindery Operator at its Warminster PA facility. Experience is a plus, but not mandatory. Company will train if applicant does not have experience.

This is a full-time position.

1st shift

Experienced bindery operator would earn a higher starting wage than inexperienced operator. We will train for the position for those without experience. Must be willing to work some overtime as needed.

EQUIPMENT TO BE OPERATED IN THE POSITION :

• Folder Operators (MBO’s, Stahl)
• Stitcher Operators (Muller Martini)
• Cutter Operators (Polar & Prism)
• Moll Folder/ Gluer
• Die Cutter Operators (Heidelberg Cylinder Press)
• Duplo Stitcher
• DocuPunch Unit
• Coverbind Perfect Binder
• Die Cutter, Foil Stamp & Emboss

*Any experience on any of the above equipment is a major plus. Otherwise, we will train as needed on equipment operation. Open to any applicants who are good with their hands, detail oriented, and willing to learn.

QUALIFICATIONS

Print Bindery experience a major plus, but we are willing to train otherwise.

JOB REQUIREMENTS ONCE TRAINED

Set up, adjust and operate Polar Cutters, and other bindery equipment. Working knowledge of the set-up, adjustment procedures, capabilities, and limitations of equipment to perform task at hand. Familiarity with basic mathematics (ie. add, subtract, decimals, metric units) to understand dimensional requirements contained in job orders. Skill in making adjustments to machines using hand-tools ( i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers, allen wrenches ) desired. Ability to read and interpret written work instructions which indicate final size work order.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ONCE TRAINED
Follow schedule to produce projects in order
Set up, operate cutter.
Make final pre-run inspection. Obtain final run approval.
Perform routine preventative maintenance as required.
Troubleshoot machine problems, resolve if possible, notifying Supervisor
Replace worn cutting blades with hand tools when required
Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
Maintain acceptable productivity standards while following planned production schedule
Perform additional duties as assigned.
