Assistant / human resources
The Temporary Clerical Staff Assistant supports the coordination and administration of the temporary staffing program. This role provides clerical, organizational, and customer service support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations for temporary staff and the departments they assist.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with onboarding of temporary employees (badges, lockers, uniforms, orientation materials).
- Support and update temporary staff schedules communication.
- Provide general support to temporary staff by answering questions and directing them to the right resources.
- Monitor attendance, timecards, audit positions, and shift coverage.
- Prepare reports, forms, and communications as needed by HR.
- Ensure PPE areas are stocked and organized for temporary staff.
- Support supervisors with staffing updates and administrative needs.
- Uphold company policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
- Support HR and Operations in workforce planning, ensuring coverage during peak periods.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Previous experience in HR, staffing coordination, or scheduling strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) or scheduling software.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
