About the Role:
The Worker’s Compensation & Claim Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the claims process for employees who have sustained work-related injuries or illnesses. This position ensures that all claims are processed efficiently and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, ultimately aiming to provide timely support to affected employees. The coordinator will work closely with medical professionals, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders to facilitate communication and resolve any issues that may arise during the claims process. By maintaining accurate records and documentation, the coordinator will help to identify trends and areas for improvement in workplace safety and employee well-being. The end result of this role is to ensure that employees receive the necessary support while minimizing the financial impact on the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as human resources, business administration, or healthcare management.
- At least 2 years of experience in worker's compensation claims management or a related area.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in worker's compensation or claims management.
- Experience with claims management software and data analysis tools.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire worker's compensation claims process from initiation to resolution.
- Coordinate with medical providers, insurance adjusters, and employees to gather necessary documentation and information.
- Monitor and track the status of claims, ensuring timely follow-up and communication with all parties involved.
- Analyze claims data to identify trends and recommend improvements to workplace safety and injury prevention programs.
- Provide support and guidance to employees regarding their rights and responsibilities under worker's compensation laws.
