Flatbed Driver - CDL B

salary: $52,000 - $55,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 5 AM - 4 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a flatbed truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
• Secure cargo using straps, chains, and tarps to prevent damage or loss during transit.
• Assist with loading and unloading, which may involve using forklifts or cranes, ensuring proper balancing and placement of items.
• Plan delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and report any maintenance needs.
• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers as needed.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Interact with customers, collect payments, and handle any inquiries or issues.
• When required, ensure the tarp (or any cover) is properly secured to protect the load.
